Convenient High-Quality Care Across the Badger State

Dr. McWilliams isn’t a Maryland psychiatrist who simply acquired a Wisconsin license. He trained there.

He completed his psychiatry residency at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health in Madison, where he was selected as chief resident in his final year — a distinction that reflects both clinical skill and the trust of his colleagues and program. During and after residency, he worked with the Department of Veterans Affairs serving the veteran community across Wisconsin.

When he relocated to the East Coast, maintaining his Wisconsin license and continuing to see patients via telehealth wasn’t a business decision — it was a commitment to patients he had built relationships with, and to a state whose mental health landscape he understands from the inside. He remains involved in Wisconsin medical education today as adjunct faculty at the University of Wisconsin Department of Psychiatry.

He continues to accept new Wisconsin patients.
