McWilliams Psychiatry

Providers Dr. McWilliams Works With and Trusts

Dr. McWilliams provides psychotherapy as part of integrated psychiatric care, but regularly refers patients to specialized therapists when a particular expertise — trauma-focused therapy, couples work, neuropsychological testing — is the right fit. The providers listed here are clinicians he knows, respects, and refers to by name.

Tides of Change Wellness

Tides of Change Wellness is a therapy group I know well and refer to regularly. They specialize in evidence-based treatments for complex emotional and behavioral challenges. They are one of the few practices in the Baltimore area offering Comprehensive DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy) and RO-DBT (Radically Open DBT) programs, making them an excellent resource for clients struggling with intense emotions, perfectionism, or chronic relationship distress.

I share an office space with Tides of Change, so collaboration is literally right next door

CBT of Maryland

CBT of Maryland, led by Dr. Ann Aspnes, specializes in evidence-based psychotherapy for anxiety, depression, trauma, and insomnia. Their treatment offerings include EMDR and CPT for trauma, as well as CBT-I for chronic sleep difficulties — a strong fit for patients dealing with persistent worry, high-pressure life transitions, or trauma that hasn’t responded to other approaches. Dr. Aspnes’ office is right next door, so collaboration is as easy as knocking on her door.

Jennifer Bozenski, PsyD

Dr. Jennifer Bozenski is an individual therapist specializing in depth-oriented and mindfulness-based approaches for adults navigating grief, major life transitions, and questions of identity and self-worth. She works particularly well with clients processing loss, the emotional weight of caregiving, or the disorientation that often accompanies significant change. Dr. McWilliams refers to Dr. Bozenski when a patient needs a thoughtful, reflective therapeutic relationship rather than a structured protocol-based approach.
