Mon - Fri 8:30am - 5pm
Sat - Sun - Closed
While I am available to respond to, phone calls and medical needs during the week, I am currently only seeing patients in Fridays. Appointment availability is expected to expand in the near future.
I am responsive by phone or email/chart messaging throughout the workweek.
All first appointments are considered a consultation only. At the end of this initial consultation which typically lasts 60 minutes, I will be able to determine if I can offer psychiatric treatment to meet your needs. If my practice is not an appropriate fit, I will provide information and relevant recommendations based on my diagnostic evaluation. If my practice appears to be an appropriate fit, we will work together to develop a plan for treatment that considers your individual needs and incorporates as-indicated psychopharmacology, psychotherapy, and behavioral interventions.
As a small practice, appointments may not be available every day of the week. We will need to determine an acceptable schedule of appointments based on mutual availability, response to treatment, and progress in treatment.
Appointments are typically for medication management and/or psychotherapy. If medication is prescribed, prescriptions are written during these visits with the correct number of refills to ensure that patients do not run out of medication between visits. If you run out of medications, it is likely because we missed connecting for a scheduled visit.
For Maryland residents: I am in-network for patients with United Healthcare and it's subsidiaries (Optum, GEHA, UBR). I recommend checking with your insurance provider prior to scheduling to ensure that visits will be covered.
For Wisconsin and Virginia residents: I am not currently in-network with insurance. I can provide itemized payment receipts for possible out-of-network reimbursement from other insurers. Reimbursement from your insurer depends on your policy's terms. I am not able to submit claims on your behalf and am not responsible for reimbursement from your insurer. Please check your policy's out-of-network benefits prior to scheduling.
The following are the current out-of-pocket fees:
Initial Consultation and Diagnostic Assessment: $385 (60 min)
Follow up medication management/psychotherapy: $385 (50-55 min)
Follow up medication management/psychotherapy: $230 (20-25 min)
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia Follow Up: $230
Visits are scheduled for 30min, but may not require entire appointment time depending on complexity
Telephone consultations that require medical evaluation: $50/5min.
Calls less than 5 min will not be billed.
Reports/Letters/Paperwork/Meetings: $100/15min
Fees reflect the complexity of services provided and are subject to change. Any change in the fee schedule will be provided to existing patients with at least 60 days notice.
I require 48 business-hours of notice for prescription refill requests. Please be advised that regular visits are required to continue medications. During visits, medications are prescribed with sufficient refills to avoid having to contact the office outside of visits for refills - with some exceptions that will be explained when they arise. If you are needing to contact me for refills, it is likely an indication that we are off-schedule in terms of frequency of visits, so please plan to schedule a visit with your request.
Cancellation Policy:
In general, failure to cancel an appointment with more than 24-hours’ notice will result in a fee, as shown in the fee schedule. I understand that life happens and things come up, so please reach out if you need to cancel and I will do my best to re-schedule and work with you.
Missed Appointment Policy:
Failure to appear for an appointment at the time reserved for you will be billed to you at full fee per the appointment fee schedule. If you arrive to your appointment 15 minutes late, this is considered a missed appointment, and you will need to be rescheduled.
Again, understand that there are some circumstances that cannot be avoided (emergencies, severe weather, etc.) and such events will be taken into consideration.
Please note, multiple no show appointments may be discharged from clinic. This will be discussed prior to discharge to provide an opportunity to avoid this outcome.
